CoreLogic Forecasts Year-Over-Year Appreciation

The latest CoreLogic Home Price Index was released this past week. Included in the research was CoreLogic’s Forecasted Year-Over-Year Percent Change.

The nation as a whole is forecasted to experience 4.3% appreciation over the course of the next twelve months (August ’15 – August ’16); compared to the 6.9% already achieved over the past year (August ’14 – August ’15).

Some interesting facts:

  1. 25 states are forecasted to achieve higher levels of appreciation in the next 12 months than already achieved in the last year.

  2. 25 state and the District of Columbia are forecasted to experience a slow in appreciation.

  3. All 50 states & D.C. are forecasted to achieve some level of positive price appreciation.

Even though each state is appreciating at different levels, your buyers need to know the Cost of Waiting until next year to make a purchase.
